The premiere model in Breyer's new Collectors' Choice™& Series, Uncalled For was selected from several hundred submissions by loyal Breyer® model horse collectors as part of the Collectors' Choice™ contest. Limited to production from January to June 2005. Breyer® Animal Creations® is proud to introduce Uncalled For, the first model offered in the Collectors’ Choice™ Series.  This classy mare knows she’ll make a stir in any show ring with her flashy red silver bay color.  Genetically, Uncalled For is a bay horse with the “Silver” dilution gene.  This gene restricts the expression of black on her body color.  Therefore, her lower legs, which would be black on a bay horse, are instead a rich chocolate brown.  The silvery mane and tail are also characteristic of this color dilution gene and demonstrate how the silver gene can completely suppress the normally black mane and tail of a bay horse.  The Silver gene is present in breeds such as the Rocky Mountain Horse, Icelandic Horse, Shetland Pony, Quarter Horse, Morgan, and Miniature Horse. Uncalled For is produced on the Strapless mold, introduced in 2003.  But this sassy mare knows she’s special, showing off her silvery mane and tail.  Previously released with a braided mane and tail, Uncalled For is the first introduction of the free-flowing mane and tail also possible with this mold.
